Ramen Yahichi/らーめん弥七
中津(Umeda or Nakatsu,Osaka)
I visited Ramen Yahichi in Nakatsu for lunch. I no longer had to wait in outside of the shop for over an hour since the numbered ticket machine was introduced, so hang around for a while till my turn. My order was “Shoyu Chashu Men -990yen” with extra noodle and Heta Meshi for a gorgeous combo. The bowl soon came and I tried the soup first.
Wow…it’s heavenly!!!
Irresistible, rich and thick shoyu-based chicken soup. The chicken bones and seafood broth have done good job for the potage-like thick and a little sweet taste soup. It’s perfectly balanced with a whole bunch of cut welsh onions and hot pepper, so nice for no sweet taste soup fans like me. The homemade middle-thick noodles were cut into square at the slits and nicely chewy that could tangle very well with the soup. Tangle, like your junior high school elder who would pick on you at one catch on eyes.
The Heta Meshi was totally shooting its presence as the best side menu. It’s a rice bowl topped with richly cut grilled chashu and shoyu sauce poured like drawing 5 circles. Very tasty.
Notalog gives it the score of 3.95★★★☆☆!
I have been lazy to visit here because of the long line outside, but now the stress is free by the ticket machine, I might come soon again. I like this ingenious idea as it stands as a major shop.
